FREE Avalanche Rescue Workshop – Hatcher Pass – Sunday March 15th
Join CNFAIC forecasters, HPAC forecasters and Alaska Avalanche School this Sunday for a 1.5 hour informal avalanche rescue workshop before hitting the hills at Hatcher Pass!! WHEN: Sunday, March 15th 11:00am-12:30pm WHERE: Hatcher Pass (Gold Mint parking lot) - Look for the blue CNFAIC Avalanche trailer. Practice with your avalanche beacon, learn strategic shoveling techniques and meet local and regional forecasters and educators! Thank you for making SNOWBALL 2015 was a success!
Our first Annual Snowball 2015 has come and gone. Thank you to the bands who provided great music, the local vendors who donated SWAG, The Taproot for a perfect gathering place, the volunteers for all your labor, and the attendees for making it worth it! We also want to thank our local avalanche forecasters and Alaska Avalanche School for giving us all a reason to celebrate, donate, educate and recreate safely in multiple venues at this time of year!!
