Forecaster Comments

These photos show an avalanche from Feb 10th on the Widowmaker slide path in Main Bowl (1st Bowl) off Seattle Ridge. A snowmachine track near the debris raises the question; was it remotely triggered from below? Strong northerly outflow winds occurring today (Feb 10) may also have been the trigger. The avalanche is quite low on the slope and may have released in buried weak layers. Big thanks to the Pilot for passing on these on!
