Route & General Observations

Sun crust was about 1 inch thick and it broke very easily
underneath. It already has very bad temperature gradient which
will most likely grow facets underneath. Plus, there is surface
hoar on top of the crust. This will most likely be a very
reactive weak layer. We also found a hard failure on top of
the “glazed donut” freezing rain crust. We did not see the
January Hurricane layer at this elevation.
