Weather:
Partly cloudy, some fog, winds <5 knots.

Obvious signs of instability:
Recent Avalanches – Yes, singular, small natural point release.
Collapsing – No
Cracking – No

Snow depths:
0-2000′: none (estimated from air).

2000′-4800′: 0-7’+.

4800′-6000′: Unknown, dug snow pit down to 6 feet depth.

Primary concerns:
Top 4″ sluff release (CT12)

Weak slab layer at 20″ depth (CT16)

Fall would cause injury due to rock and glacier ice wedges sticking out at
base of couloir.
