Observation: Girdwood
Location: United States
Found variable conditions up Peterson Cr. near Girdwood today March 24th. Good
stability, touchy slabs and wet point releases on W-NW facing slopes.
We triggered a small slab avalanche 5-45cm in deep 80m wide x 200m long in the
area indicated on the map as well as several point releases. We also noticed
several other small slab avalanches on the higher peaks W-N facing faces in the
drainage.
