Route & General Observations

Went up Corn Biscuit yesterday afternoon sun, sun, sun. We began from the pullout at 1230. 5 cms of
refrozen snow on top of old pow on the uptrack (west). Skinned about 2/3 of the way up before
deciding to boot pack due to the “slid for life” skinning conditions. Sun was very warm, but a slight
breeze was keeping the west facing snow very firm. However, once on top of the first main bench you
could feel boot deep penetration on the more south facing slopes. We skied the first north facing shot
after ski cut produced nothing more than baby sluff. Good skiing in shaded chute. Saw only one other
group, they were on Sunburst.
