Location: Turnagain Pass, Summit
Tincan avalanche was below 1600 feet elevation in treed terrain. We measured the width with a
GPS at 1000 feet wide. Height estimated at 200 vertical feet. Crown depth 2-3 feet.
Magnum avalanches – most of the upper west face above the bench pulled during the storm,
with 2 pockets below the bench, visible in the photo.
Moose Mountain avalanche – it appeared that the entire bowl that feeds this chute pulled
during the storm.
