Route & General Observations

A quick drive through Turnagain Pass to check on the weather and see if any new glide avalanches had occurred.

Red Flags
Red flags are simple visual clues that are a sign of potential avalanche danger. Please record any sign of red flags below.
Observer Comments

Warm, wet and windy storm. Absolutely no visibility to see if any glides or other types of wet avalanches had released. One of those truly socked in wet days.

Weather & Snow Characteristics
Please provide details to help us determine the weather and snowpack during the time this observation took place.
Weather

I found 3-4" of very wet saturated snow at 1,000' at the motorized and Center Ridge parking lots. Snow has now turned to rain at this elevation and the rain/snow like looks to be right at 1,000' as of 1pm.

Snow surface

Wet, saturated and unsupportable at 1,000'
