Observation: Turnagain

Route & General Observations

Drove through Turnagain Pass at 3 pm. Seattle Ridge continues to fall apart. There were new glide cracks, glide avalanches, wet loose avalanches, some wet loose looked like they were triggered by glide chunks (new technical term) and maybe a few slab avalanches that were also mixed in with the glides (whiter debris). 2500′ and below is deteriorating on that side of the highway (east/motorized).

Observer Comments

Recent wet loose avalanches on Seattle ridge, Tincan Common, CFR and Lipps.
New glide avalanches and new glide cracks on Seattle Ridge.
Skookum drainage also looks like it is now one big glide avalanche.
