Avalanche: Turnagain
Location: Turnagain Pass - late May wet slab cycle
Several wet slab avalanches have been occurring during the last half of May. One notable slab was in Todd’s Bowl. All avalanches were natural and no one has been involved in any that we know of.

Avalanche Details
A very interesting wet slab cycle has been occurring around Turnagain Pass. Most of these slabs are on northerly (ish) shaded aspects; the last aspects to feel the heat of spring. Most of these are releasing in the 2000-3000' elevation band and are quite deep (3-8' or so). We are suspect that they are sliding on the Halloween crust formed in the beginning of the season.
Avalanches:
Tincan-
Todd's Bowl- released sometime overnight on May 27. Seen morning of May 28.
North side of ridge- 2 large slabs one with very wide propagation and one taking a portion of the ridge. Released sometime around May 19.
Cornbiscuit- Northern side. Unknown timing of release. Very wide propagating slab.
Lipps- Deep pocket released around May 19.
