Observation: Turnagain

A collection of photos documenting the current state of the ongoing glide cycle. With so much continued activity, this will help us keep track of what is new and what is old.

Most recently, two large glide avalanches hit the motorized uptrack on the front side of Seattle Ridge on Jan. 24 and 25. The avalanche from Jan. 25 buried a significant portion of the uptrack. Luckily these both happened after sunset and before sunrise, so nobody was on the slope when either event happened.

There are still many active glide cracks in the area that can release unexpectedly.
