I literally drove 3 hours to sit in the parking lot skis in hand and disappointed by the lack of snow!

No, there is less than 2" of snow.

-8 degrees Fahrenheit, clear, very little wind, and only 2" of snow.

Snow surface

If you can find snow, it is powdery and drifted under dead grass.

There has to be snow for a snowpack

Less than 2" in the parking lot and nothing more higher up..... I could probably graze cattle on the grass and didn't dare ski.
