Route & General Observations

Toured up the normal skin track did a lap in the trees left of the rock below common bowl. Observed lots of wind effected snow ongoing transfer, and pluming on surrounding peaks. On our second lap we skied in the same general area. First member of our party triggered a small wind slab on the initial steep rollover to lower angle terrain. The crown was about 50-60 feet in length and the crown was around 9 inches at its highest point. The slide ran about 50-60ft. The rider wasn’t caught, but this was a good reinforcement of our party’s decision to stay lower on the peak and in low consequence terrain.
