Observer Comments

A few shallow releases on steep on center ridge, NW aspect into tincan creek. Shooting cracks, skier triggered point releases, sluffing and storm slabs.

Weather

Cloudy and light snow from 9:30am till 12:30 then slowly cleared to partly cloudy skies.

Snow surface

About 30cm of new light density snow.

Snowpack

Pit on a north aspect, 2,000', pit depth 110cm. BSH 30cm below surface. New snow hadn't formed a slab so no propagation in pit test but BSH and other various buried surfaces was reactive to ski cuts. CTV 85cm down on some weak facets, ECTN25 about 60cm down on weak facets.
