We came upon a skier/rider triggered avalanche, D1, soft/storm slab.

Observed a recent skier triggered avalanche and heard a report of a rider triggering a similar pocket of storm slab on a steep roll skinner's left of the skin track near treelike.
Shooting cracks in wind loaded areas at treeline.

Dug a pit @ 2200' on a SE aspect. See Photo. Predominately a right side up snowpack.
ECTX, Found the Buried Surface Hoar and Near Surface Facets above the Thanksgiving rain crust. Both were none reactive in tests. Near Surface Facets were rounding and the Buried Surface Hoar was laid over.
Shovel tilt had no results.
Hand pits in wind loaded area produced easy shears.
