Route & General Observations

Skied Tincan uptrack to el. 1866 ft. Snowing hard entire time. Did pit below treeline on NE aspect and 35 deg slope. No indications of recent avalanches in area, but poor visibility did allow for view of upper mtn. Auto rooftop measurements indicate that 20 cm of snow fell during a 4.5 hr period or approx. 4 cm/hr

Snowing hard with poor visibility. NE wind at 2-3 mph

Deep new snow with boot penetration to 80 cm.

Snowpack

Shovel shear test produced moderate shear at 112 cm and Q1. Got CT13Q1@112cm and CT24 on ground.
