Solstice skiing! Several laps in Tincan trees. Everything above the trees, and
to some degree in the upper parts of the tree terrain, is heavily wind affected
and made for unpleasant skiing. Lower in the trees it’s deep, soft, and enjoyable.
I did pop a small wind slab traversing across the top of a steep rollover near
the uppermost trees – to the right and below where the skin track climbs above
treeline. It was ~8″ deep at the tip of the crown thinning down to ~2″ at the
flanks, ~30′ wide and running ~75′.
