Weather & Snow Characteristics
Please provide details to help us determine the weather and snowpack during the time this observation took place.

Sky cover: overcast and low cloud ceiling at 11am; by 12noon skies were barely broken and cloud ceiling lifted so that we could see the surrounding ridge lines. Back at the car at 1pm with scattered cloud cover with beautiful light.
Temps: Kept cool, not going above freezing even at road level.
Precipitation: S1 at 11am, S<1 at 11:30am. Precipitation stopped by noon.
Wind: Calm most of the time, light at treeline when we started skiing down.
By the time we were driving down the pass, high winds at ridge lines. We could see significant wind plumes off Pyramid.

Snow surface

Dry new snow. ~15 cm at the meadows, maybe ~20cm at treeline.
No warming of the surface snow at all.

Nice to see a "full" snowpack after pretty much two storms.
We did not dig a pit or do stability tests.
