Snowing. Windy above treeline

Snow surface

on our second lap @ app 13:00 we able to get shooting cracks on a test slope right at treeline. Blow snow had covered our tracks from the previous lap. Loading of nw aspect above treeline. Wind was light in the trees as we climbed and was in your face as soon as you neared treeline. We noticed several fresh slabs developing throughout the day. Hand shear and shovel shear test were easy and clean both at the new snow interface on top of the slab and at the slab/ old snow interface ( combo nsf and surface hoar location dependent) depth depended on location.
