Tincan Study Plot and its instrumentation

Location: Tincan Study Plot
KCI (Kasteler Consulting, Inc.) and CNFAIC staff headed up to Tincan today to finish installing the new snow study plot on Tincan. The plot is right at treeline and includes a thermistor cable and a snow depth sensor (provided by BeadedStream) . The cable will measures snow temperature vertically every 15 cm. The snow depth sensor will, of course, measure snow depth.
*We need your help maintaining this site throughout the winter. PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB the instrumentation or the snow surrounding it – watch your dogs as well. THANK YOU!!
