Common Tincan up track to the top of Hippie Bowl. Skied from the summit to the valley floor for 2 glorious runs in the sun!

Observer Comments

Dry loose sluffs on steeps, would run in gulleys to valley floor. Moving slow.
Scary Glide crack opening up on an SW aspect before the last pitch of skinning to the top of Tincan bowl.

Weather

Blue skis, calm winds from the NE on top of ridges. Comfortable temps all day, in the high 20’s to low 30’s. Felt the sun on our faces mid afternoon and even thought about putting on some sun screen!

Snow surface

Snow has settled a bit since yesterday. Light density powder from parking lot to the peak. About a foot and a half of new snow.

Snowpack

Did a quick ECT at 2500’ on a S facing aspect at 11:30am. ECTX. New snow about 50cm down. Appears to be sitting on intact stellars.
