Route & General Observations

Skied Tincan Proper. Cool to observe the many steep lines (Eddies pictured) that folks have ridden during this period of high pressure. Also interesting to see the glide cracks above Seattle Ridge uptrack, which have since slid on 01/27/24.

Weather

Started mixed sun & clouds. Went completely overcast at 1pm. Low winds. Approx -15°c.

Snow surface

Variable. Scoured ridgelines, some 1-3mm sun crusts, some 1-3cm wind crusts. Softest snow in the alpine was on north leeward aspects, and aspects at lower elevations approx 2000' and lower.

Snowpack

No formal tests. Skied south to north aspects up to 45° steep.
