Started from Tincan parking lot at 11:00am. 2 laps of Tincan Peak and back down in the parking lot by 5:00pm. Busy day up there – at one point there was over 16 people at the summit.
Fresh 6” of powder from recent storm.
First 500’ had a punchy layer underneath on the way up, by the time we came down it had gotten icy. Felt like some east coast skiing. Definitely early season conditions down there.
Several glide cracks between 2000’ and 2500’ underneath the recent snowfall. No whumpfing, shooting cracks, etc.
By early afternoon a sun crust had developed.
