No cracking, collapsing, or recent avalanches observed

Weather & Snow Characteristics
Please provide details to help us determine the weather and snowpack during the time this observation took place.
Weather

Broken low clouds with occasional light rain
Mid 40s at truck, mid 30s at top of route
Occasional light gusts from the north to east

Snow surface

No snow to ~1500'
Very wet to wet snow on the surface along the entire route

Snowpack

High spatial variability above treeline; see pit photo below for Hippy Bowl structure and test results.

Probing in the pit vicinity revealed an average of 40-80cm total snow depth of generally a similar structure as that seen in the pit, with the exception of more snow at ridgeline, and occasionally less in the bowl where past wind affect was present.

Below 3000', the entire snowpack is wet or very wet, increasing to an average of about 1' at 3000', but again, with a great deal of spatial variability. No snow present below 1500'.
