Usual route from Tincan lot. A recent glide crack had released on the lower toe of Tincan Peak & ran into the drainage below. There were ski tracks in this area last week. Other glide cracks are opening up & shedding there hangfire around Turnagain Pass. Eddies major SW glide crack has lost more snow as well as Seattle Ridge & Petes South. A friendly public service announcement as we enter the spring season to conserve the skin-tracks around & avoid boot packing up them. Because like a bright mind a well placed skin-track is a terrible thing to waste…..

Glide cracks. Rapid warming. Cornice fall.
Sunshine with increasing clouds. 40F no wind
New 1-3" light snow. Below 2200' unsupportable crust, above 2500' more support. Good skiing up top, survival scratchings down lower. Don't be tempted to hit any jumps or you will lawn dart & get much joy out of laughing at yourself.
Hand pits. Below the crust is a wet mixture of melt-freeze rounded grains.
