Route & General Observations

Backdoor uptrack to the Tincan ridgeline around 3200′. Descended Common Bowl, tried to avoided the recent slide area.

Another group descended Todd’s run, no instability was seen.

Weather

Blubird, calm wind
~40F at 11:00am
51F at 4:00pm

Snow surface

~1-2" frozen crust in the morning, would support skier weight
7-Eleven slushy in the afternoon around 1800 ft.

Great ski quality from 3200' to 2000'.

Snowpack

Above 2000' 4-6" of pretty dry snow on top of a 2" crust.
Ran the probe down a few times in common bowl. Could feel a second crust at about 2', snow pack felt very consolidated past that. Never hit the ground at 10+ feet.
