Route & General Observations

Full parking lot at Tincan today. We found more than a foot of new snow that was, unfortunately, heavier than we had hoped. We didn’t see anyone venture further than the common knob.

Avalanche Details

We observed a couple of skier triggered avalanches on Tincan at multiple elevations - both above and below treeline. All were D1 and on convexities, perhaps because all were steering clear of more committing terrain. We did not observe the avalanches occur but there was no evidence of burial or rescue efforts. Crown depth and width are
approximate.
