Nice day on Tincan. No wind, nearly bluebird. Temperatures started around freezing at the car, and warmed up significantly in the afternoon. Powder-line was around 1700′. There is a breakable crust below that.
The sun warmed south face of Tincan Common uptrack to hot ‘snowball’ type snow. Roller balls were forming naturally from cornices.
We did not notice any red flags during our few runs in TC Common. The small cornices were easy to knock down. There were about 8 tracks dropping south towards Center Ridge below TCC & Snake Pit area, with no new avalanches observed.
