Route & General Observations

Backcountry Patrol to Tincan. Standard uptrack to Tincan Common. Lots of folks out enjoying the cold but nice snow. Skied out to weather station and through Tincan Trees to the Iditarod Trail then out the uptrack. Didn’t observe any new avalanches. Nice to day to be out.

Weather

Temps at Center Ridge Station were recording +8F, but the Tincan pullout was -11F. There was definitely an inversion climbing up. Skies were clear with no wind.

Surface hour wide spread, 5mm.

Snowpack

See attached profile. CT 22 Q1, ECTN 22 Q1. Found a few rounded facets that could be buried surface hour, but they were hard to find.
