Below the Surface:
I only dug in at 2500′ where I have been tracking the buried near surface facets since 2/13/15. Today
there were multiple layers of rounds, melted grains, and melt freeze crusts in upper snowpack. Slab
depth varied from 40cm to 65cm. The buried near surface facet layer at 40-65 cm deep was 10-
13cm thick and mostly four finger hardness.
