Route & General Observations

Toured Tincan Back Door, on a supportable crust with good glide.
Connected to the main track above 1600′ ASL.
Continued to the ridge and skied down.
Hero snow above treeline. So good.
Below 1500, you can find a thin rain layer still.

BTW, a helicopter Robinson landed in the motorized parking lot when we were leaving the car. Unknown reasons.

Initiated the day with a broken sky and turned to sunny day afternoon.
A few gusts early morning, but then calm to no wind.
No Precip.

Snow surface

Good snow above treeline. The surface is starting to form a tiny surface hoar.
5 cms Ski penetration.
15 cms Boot Penetration.

TSD: 145 cms
Pit @ 1562' ASL
W 255º aspect.
35º SA.
