Jumping on this test slope resulted in a tiny slab avalanche.
Shooting cracks broke down to a buried layer of 1mm surface hoar
from our recent clear weather. Continued strong winds have
increased the thickness of these slabs, which may contain enough
weight to step down to deeper weak layers.
