Observation: Turnagain

6-12″ of snow from the road to treeline. 12-18″ from treeline to top of Tincan
Common. Ground was unfrozen and muddy up to about 2800′. Hoar frost on all
aspects and elevations 1/4″, snow had no structure, well on its way to depth
hoar. Skiing up high you could here all the shattering hoar frost. Left early
afternoon, surface snow in the sun was melting near road level. Bad timing
with our first high pressure in months, hopefully the wind blows all the snow
into the inlet before the next big storm.
