Light to Moderate winds at ridgeline from the south, clear skis all day and moderate temps.
Walked on mostly dry ground for not long until being able to put skis on. Skinned up to Todd’s Run for a run on a north aspect by Todd’s Run, then skied two sunny laps in Hippy Bowl. Starting to really feel like ski season now as winter is in full swing in the alpine.

Light to Moderate winds at ridgeline from the south, clear skis all day and moderate temps.
Snow surface all day was dominated by various sizes of surface hoar ranging in size from 5mm-2mm. Overall conditions were 8cm of dust on crust, less on southerlies.
Dug three pits throughout the day on our way up to assess snow depths and get a baseline of snowpack structure ahead of the coming storms.
Pit 1: 2300', HS:30cm, N aspect 35°
Largely faceted snowpack, ECTN23 @ 15cm down from surface. PST 32/100 SF @ 15cm down from surface on a layer of 1mm facets above a melt-freeze crust.
Pit 2: 2800', HS:100cm, NW aspect 25°
