Route & General Observations

Toured up Tincan hoping to take advantage of the blue bird weather and new snow, but mother nature threw in a surprise. There was a rain/drizzle crust that capped the snow surface from the trailhead to well above treeline (maybe 2800 ft?). There was also some patchy areas of rime crust above that on wind exposed areas. That last couple hundred feet of common bowl did have some decent uncrusted soft snow for a few good turns, which provided some solace from the crust-pocalypse that was Turnagain today.

Stability wise, did not observe any red flags and Sunday’s snow seemed to have come in rightside up.
