Planned to start at Center Ridge but a pair of skiers said it was a little too schwacky to access this early in the season.
Started at the parking lot at 1 pm. Sunny, fog had recently lifted, 35°, started in a t-shirt. Surprisingly good coverage, especially at the bottom. Skinned up to Common Bowl. Noted wind effect at 2,400 ft, turning into a stiff crust by 2,700 ft. In some exposed areas, snowpack as shallow as 25 cm. Light snow and wind picked up around 3 pm. Turned around at 3,000 ft. Powder in the bowl was great! A little slabby in some spots. Snow got pretty dense and variable as we got closer to the road. Back at the parking lot at 5 pm as we were losing light.
