Tincan. Hard to see the cornice on the ridge.
~520 MAMSL. Whoomphing in SW aspect when opening fresh track.

Location: Tincan
Today in Tincan it was a noticeable inversion going. Below zero in the Parking lot, 20’s around Treeline.
Obvious cornices on some ridges. Leeward on South/South-West/West aspects.
Snowpit below treeline on SW aspect. CT-11, breaking in a faceted snow. Around the crust from the
beginning of December.
Around 520 mamsl (1706 feet) (below treeline), noticeable whoomphing when opening my own skin track on SW
aspect.
Snow around treeline, is fun. I think is forming some surface hoar, due the cold and clear sky.
Snow from middle trees to bottom is still shallow and with a lot of branches and trees exposed.
