Route & General Observations

Standard uptrack up to Common Bowl. Quick pit on NWW at 2200′ showed about 30cm very light cohesiveless snow sitting above facets on top of Halloween crust. Layer of buried surface hoar within those 30 cm. Did not see any interface there at the moment since there is no cohesion in any of those top layers (in our pit at least). ECTX. Snow just crumbled loosely under shovel taps. Shovel shear test was able to shear those 30 cm of light snow off the crust below though, with light to moderate force. Lots of evidence of wind trasport up high in multiple directions.
