Route & General Observations

Mission to re-erect the APU Wx station @2200′. Standard Uptrack. Not skinnable/skiable until about gaining 200′ in elevation from TH.
Curious about whether crust disappears with elevation and if new snow amounts up high are greater (see snow surface below).

Weather

Cloudy skies all day with varying cloud types.
Very light snow flurry observed around 2pm.
Light Northerly winds observed once trees open up.
reading of from the -0.6 C Wx station around 3:30 pm.

Snow surface

Slightest dusting of snow down low.
Dust on crust from about 1400' up, seeming to get deeper with elevation (hard to tell with limited elevation gain).

Snowpack

Very rough estimation of snowpack @2200': 5cm unconsolidated snow above 10cm of various crusts above 5cm rounds above basal facets.
