Winds light and variable

Snow surface

1000'-1500' - surface hoar 1-2cm near road level gradually getting smaller with elevation and very small or absent near 1500'
1600'-2000' - 1-2" of loose faceted snow in sheltered areas
2000'-2600' - Variable surfaces ranging from pockets of wind drifted snow to sastrugi to melt/freeze crust

Snowpack

1000-1500' - 3-4" of settled snow that is faceting out on the ground with surface hoar on top
1600' -2000' - 1" melt/freeze crust on the ground gradually getting thicker with elevation. Height of snow ranged from 3" to 6" near 2000'.
