Standard Tincan uptrack to ridgetop at 3400ft.

Cornice breaks on Tincan ridge north of Hippie Bowl, causing wet snow avalanches on slope below.

Weather

sunny, calm with a few Cu clouds to the south.

Snow surface

Crusty in am, especially in shaded areas. Snow surface softened as day progressed. Boot penetration to 2 ft in places.

Snowpack

Mostly isothermal snowpack with abundant corn snow. Ski tests resulted in kicking off small wet snow sluffs.
