Observation: Other Regions

The facets near the ground were still very developed, cup
shaped,
and sugary. The compression tests found moderate to hard
failures in these facets at the bottom of the snowpack. This
pit
was dug at about 3000′. There was no crust above these facets
like we have seen at elevations up to 2300′.
