Route & General Observations

These small avalanches were triggered by skiers and/or
snowboarders at about 2800′ on Tincan on Monday Jan 18 2010.
According to one of the Avalanche Center’s observers, these small
avalanches were surface snow slabs; so, these did not avalanche
of the rain crust. It
shows that at least small avalanches are still reactive to human
triggers. I wouldn’t want to trigger one of these on any big
terrain.
