Soft surface conditions. Occasional wind effect, especially near ridges. Expected spatial variability for the region, but in general snow pack was right side up

As we were topping out on the ridge we noticed a supportable wind slab followed shortly by a collapse and shooting cracks. We then looked to our side and saw we had sympathetically triggered a hard slab 100 feet away in steeper terrain. This ran about 800-1000 feet. Looked to have failed between new snow/new wind slab and old surface facets. Prior to this we had no red flags
