Toured from Glen Alps Trailhead, down powerline pass trail and up hidden lakes valley to The Wedge early in the morning

Weather

Overcast skies for most of the morning until around 11:30am when skies started to break
Calm-light winds in the valley, at ridgetop and summit winds were light, gusting moderate from the SE
Air temp and winds felt warm!
No precip

Snow surface

A wonderful spring mix of snow surface conditions (and lack of) observed. SF Campbell Creek/Powerline valley was mostly wind board and a surface 5cm thick melt-freeze crust between the glades. Bare ground and wind board galore in the alpine.

Snowpack

Dug a quick CT and ECT in two separate spots below the summit ridge of The Wedge on a loaded north aspect, no notable results. Snowpack structure in the alpine consisted of ~30cm of advanced facets on the ground with varying thickness of hard wind slab on top.
