Weather
Mild temps and partly cloudy. Calm winds with short periods of gusts out of the
north. No precip.

Surface obs
2” new snow that fell overnight on Friday 12/27
Small pockets of cornices ‘calved’, likely occurred overnight on 12/27-28
3-4mm surface hoar mixed into the new snow below 2,500’ in open areas

Average snow depths:
50cm/20” above treeline
30cm/12” below treeline

2,700’ W aspect
29 deg slope
ECTP19 SC on 2mm facets between mid pack crusts

Pit #2
2,700’ S aspect
32 deg slope
ECTP19 SC at the ground

No collapsing like at Turnagain-seems to be related to the lack of cohesion
within the slab.
