Route & General Observations

About 6″ of lighter fresh snow in treeline, dense/wet at road level, dense and wind effected in Alpine. Day began windy and cloudy, became clear and calm. Stomped on a cornice over south facing bowl to vet instability and cornice sensitivity, and it easily broke and emanated cracks. A small windslab broke below the cornice about 20ft downslope on a convexity.

Cloudy and significantly windy to start the day, clearing to mostly sunny and calm.

Wet slushy powder at road level, somewhat fluffy in tree line, and largely wind effected above treeline.
