Tenderfoot up to 2,500′

Weather

Obscured and S-1 in morning. Mid-day to afternoon broken clouds, summits of surrounding peaks visible.
Near freezing at road level, high 20's at tree line.
Calm wind.

Snow surface

10cm ski pen on rain crust transitioned to 20cm ski pen with dissipating rain crust up to tree line.
Wind stiffened snow just above tree line.
2,500' was our high point.

Snowpack

Test pit dug at 2,500' W aspect.
HS 80cm.
ECTP22 at ground on facets.
Thin (5mm) rain crust 30cm down. No BSH found in pit but we know it's out there.
