Standard uptrack to 2001′ elevation. No pullouts had been plowed from Lower Summit Lake to Manitoba.

Observer Comments

On uptrack: Localized Cracking and Collapsing 3' around us averaging 40cm down. Big whumph at 2000' where pit was dug on 31 degree slope.

Clear, Calm Wind. Temp in the 20's.Cross loading on S/SE Aspects on upper elevations and ridges.

New snow from weekend storm, Surface Temp 1 degree C.

Snowpack

Hand Shear: Easy-Moderate down 40cm on Semi-Angular Facets
Snow Pit Depth 41cm, 0 is the ground.
CT: 1 Sudden Planar at 14cm on 0.5-1mm facets, some very angular some exhibiting slight rounding. Facets continued to the ground. Melt freeze crust layer within Facets
