Started from the pull-out at 2:00. 28°, snowing lightly.
Followed the skin track up through the trees to 2,300 ft, when wind gusts started to get a little crazy. Probed snowpack depth of 130 cm. A really nice ski down through the trees – protected pocket of light powder, not a single red flag noted.
A little wind effect noted on the snowpack in the meadows.
Skiied out the creek. While coming down the gully, a skiier in the group triggered a small storm slab (estimate 6 feet from top to bottom, 20 feet from side to side, 6 inches deep).
Back at the pull out at 4:15 pm. 36°, gusty but seemed like storm was breaking up with sun breaking through and patches of blue sky.
